My name is Shinhye and I was born in a small village in Japan. No, I didn't watch anime all the time or read comic books or play video games like crazy. My mom was married to my dad for 6 years until she met my biological dad who she fell in love with and had an affair. When my mother got pregnant and they realized I was half Korean my father became enraged and moved us to this very traditional neighborhood. So it was me my four brothers, my mother, and my dictator-like father. It was getting better till I became of age and boys started to notice me more than normal. My father thought this was the perfect way to really get back at my mother so he put me up for an arranged marriage. If you don't know what that is look it up. Anyway, my mother didn't fight since she lost all of that spirit so I was married to this guy. He was one of the major runners for the Yakuza so saying no wasn't an option. One night before I was supposed to move into his place I ran away to South Korea and here I am. Hopefully, he doesn't find me...what am I saying..they always do. I miss my mom.
Shinhye has been in South Korea since she was 16 and has finally moved past her rocky childhood and is moving on to bigger and better things. She never saw herself as a sorority girl but after 2 months of school with no friends, she knew she needed to make some. The only one that she could see herself in was Kappa Delta, she wasn't a prude but she also wasn't fake or a slut. After embarrassing herself and pledging celibacy in front of the sorority and anyone who else who came to watch she found herself in the comfort of a bunch of girls who truly cared for her. It made her happy she had never had that before. Maybe she was going to be okay.
